  On September 27 and 28, 2017, the Johnson & Johnson Diabetes Institute in collaboration with the Joslin Diabetes Center, will present a two day professional education program to transform diabetes care. This unique opportunity allows you to receive a customized curriculum delivered in a participant-centered learning environment located at The Joslin Diabetes Center. The program begins at 8:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm each day, with check-in beginning at 7:30 am.   The education and training includes: interactive teaching techniques, simulation of life with diabetes, latest diabetes standards of care for pediatric populations, self-management support, team approach to pediatric care, coping strategies & SMART goals for the family with diabetes, patient cases, and safe and effective use of current diabetes technology.   Faculty include Lori Laffel, MD, MPH. Dr. Laffel is Chief, Pediatric, Adolescent and Young Adult Section. Other multidiscipline Faculty from Joslin Diabetes Center include Nurse Practitioners, Registered Dietitians, Certified Diabetes Educators, and Faculty holding Master of Social Work and PhD degrees.   If you are a healthcare provider working with pediatric, adolescent or young adults with diabetes, live in the Boston area and would like to be considered for this program, please send an email to info@jjdi.us.

  On October 12 & 13, 2017, the Johnson & Johnson Diabetes Institute in collaboration with the Barbara Davis Center,  will present a two day professional education program to transform diabetes care. This unique opportunity allows you to receive a customized curriculum delivered in a participant-centered learning environment located at Barbara Davis Center in Aurora, Colorado. The program begins on October 12 at 8:00 am and concludes at 7:00 pm. On October 13 the program continues at 8:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Program check-and breakfast begin at 7:00 am each day. Due to the interactive nature of this program full participation on both days is required.   The program content is designed for Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Doctors working with people with diabetes (PWD) who require insulin.   The education and training includes: challenges in diabetes management, emerging CGM technologies for diabetes therapy, patient cases, advanced carb counting, insulin therapies, patient engagement and challenges, and more!   If you are a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Doctor working with insulin requiring PWD, and would like to be considered for this program, please send an email to info@jjdi.us.
